9-Year-Old with Brain Iron Accumulation Requests Birthday Cards

August 20, 2014

Meet Ali Najera. Ali is a 9-year-old girl who loves Disney princesses, seashells, and making new friends. But Ali is also suffering from a condition known as Neurodegeneration with Brain Iron Accumulation (NBIA).

This rare, debilitating condition reduces much of her physical capabilities, and Ali will require assistance for basic functions as her body worsens. One of the things that keeps Ali pulling through is getting cards with well wishes from strangers. And with her birthday coming up on September 9th, you can help Ali out too.

Below is the address where you can send Ali a card for her 10th birthday. Even though her birthday is a little less than a month away, early birthday gifts never bothered anyone. Ali hopes to get birthday cards from across the country, and hopefully the world. Seeing how happy terminally ill Danny Nickerson was to get over 30,000 cards on his birthday, you can be sure that these cards would make Ali’s birthday unforgettable.

Here’s a happy early birthday to Ali. You can find more information about Ali and her condition below.
