November 7, 2012

And the results are IN!

President Obama was reelected to a second term, the Democrats retained and strengthened their control of the US Senate (picked up seats), and the Republicans remain firmly in control of the House of Representatives.

Broadly speaking, not much has changed.  While several races remain too close to call at this time, they will not affect control of either chamber of Congress.

Next Steps:  Preparing a list of new Members of Congress and encouraging their constituents from the rare community to make contact with them and educate them about rare diseases.

Additionally, once committee assignments have been determined, we will have a better idea of where we will need to focus our educational efforts.  Stay tuned for that information, which will be available in the coming weeks.
