Rare Disease Society of South Africa Throw Oct 4th Spin-A-Thon!

The Rare Disease Society of SA is calling on the local community to head down to Virgin Active at Cedar Square Shopping Centre, Fourways on Saturday 4 October from 08h00onwards for the ‘Pedalling 4 Pompe’ spinathon that is aimed at raising funds and awareness to help children and adults with life threatening rare conditions.
 
The fundraising event will see residents from Fourways and surrounding areas participate in hour-long spinning classes as part of their training ahead of the Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge which encourages all participants, whether pro cyclists or novices, to Ride for a Purpose and make a difference.
 
All the funds raised from the ‘Pedalling 4 Pompe’ spinning initiative will go towards assisting patients with treatment costs, aiding potential patients with costs associated with diagnosis as well as funding the development of rare disease specialists in South Africa.
 
The entry fee is R50 per person per class and participants will stand a chance to win spot prizes for their efforts.   
 
Virgin Active Cedar Square is located on Cedar Road in Fourways.
