October 11, 2014

Harmony 4 Hope proudly welcomes Retrophin to our Play This Forward Campaign during the month of October. Harmony 4 Hope, a Chicago based non-profit, exists to build community and raise funds for rare disease research through the power of music. Through this unique initiative, Harmony 4 Hope collects & repurposes unwanted musical playback devices to deliver inspirational music to children and families facing the challenges of rare disease. Eager to participate, Retrophin contacted H4H with interest in hosting a companywide campaign (Cambridge, New York & San Diego). Retrophin is a pharmaceutical company focused on the development, acquisition and commercialization of drugs for the treatment of serious, catastrophic or rare diseases for which there are currently no viable options for patients. The Company’s approved products include Chenodal®, Thiola® and Vecamyl®, and its pipeline includes compounds for several catastrophic diseases, including focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS), pantothenate kinase-associated neurodegeneration (PKAN), schizophrenia, infantile spasms, nephrotic syndrome and others. The devices collected by the staff at Retrophin will be downloaded and delivered to children across the nation facing the challenges of Rare Disease.

“I am overjoyed that Retrophin is joining our movement to build community for Rare Disease through the power of music. Their participation in this initiative is instrumental in building community for this cause, while also setting the tone for other companies to support our mission for this global issue.”
