Teams from around the country are climbing on June 19th or 20th.
We want to get as many teams as possible to get out there and raise awareness and money to find a cure for DMD! This is a great chance for us to come together and climb for the boys who can’t.  Imagine teams across the country shouting from the mountain tops about the need for Duchenne research.
All donations from the Climb will be directed toward DMD research.  We are excited that gene therapy has reached a point where it is ready to move to the clinic. CureDuchenne will be funding Dr. Jeff Chamberlain at the University of Washington for his pre-clinical work.  CureDuchenne will also fund a clinical trial for a drug that shows potential to treat the hearts of boys with Duchenne.
There’s no minimum fundraising limit. Just do your best to raise as much as you can and tell everyone you know what you’re doing.  Our teams will be featured in numerous print and broadcast media and we will be filming this national event for a video.
The first time most of us hear the word Duchenne is when our son is diagnosed with this dreaded disease.  How can we expect to find a cure if no one knows about Duchenne?  You can make a difference by being part of this national event to raise awareness.

Not sure which peak to climb? There are still spots on the Mt. Shasta team in Northern California. If you’re interested, simply reply to this email and let us know!
Or pick the peak closest to you.  We even have teams climbing tall buildings…not everyone has a mountain close by…so be creative.
We look forward to seeing you on the mountaintops!
