Jeans & Genes unite on campus from March 21st, when BUFFALO DAVID BITTON partners with the Global Genes Project to raise awareness and funds for rare genetic disease research.

Buffalo supports Global Genes Project

Buffalo Ambassadors will be on campuses across the country during the months of March and April to raise money for the essential work of the Global Genes Project. With over 7000 different rare genetic diseases affecting 250 million people worldwide, 30 million of which are Americans, it is critical that the Global Genes Project is successful in raising funds for research. Children make up the largest percentage of those affected, making this disease category one of the deadliest and most debilitating for our country’s kids.  The money raised on campus will go directly towards much needed ‘in their lifetime’ research and therapy development.

Four young ambassadors, Hannah Hoang from the University of Houston, Meghan Chamberlin from the Texas Christian University, and Andrew Miranda and Heather Heaukrodt from University of Arizona want you to get involved by signing your campus Buffalo Ambassadors jeans. The Global Genes Project will receive a $1 donation for every signature collected (up to $1000), and you can also support them by donating to the cause directly. The program runs from March 14 to May 7, which means that you have 8 weeks to get involved.  Every dollar makes a difference!
