Cathryn Achilles (age 19) was diagnosed at age 8 with ataxia telangiectasia or A-T. She loves to make quilts and although she struggles with some of the intricate tasks required, she designs, chooses the fabrics, and makes award winning quilts. She has just finished the most astonishingly, beautiful quilt and is donating it to the A-T Children’s Project to help fund research!

There will be a drawing for the quilt on September 3, 2011 at the Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend – you DO NOT have to be present to win!

Please visit for all the details and pictures of this one-of-a-kind handmade quilt. Once you see it, we know you’re going to want it!

Cathryn has A-T, and many of you may know Cathryn from FEAT, the documentary about Tim Borland’s 63 marathons in 63 consecutive days for the A-T CureTour.

Just found out my little daddy’s girl has A-T. We are crushed and don’t know what to do. Please pray for Jaya Smith. She is my everything.
