The Williams Syndrome Family of Hope organization would like to send a hand-sewn pillowcase to any child affected with Williams Syndrome that is admitted to the hospital.  Williams Syndrome (WS) is a genetic disorder caused by a deletion of a small segment of the long arm of chromosome 7. Occurring in approximately 1 in 10,000 births, the symptoms characterized by this disorder include development delays, distinct facial appearance, mild to severe medical issues as well as a unique personality integrating extreme levels of anxiety and empathy.

All pillowcases are made with love by mothers, grandmothers and other family members of individuals affected with Williams Syndrome. For those who have a child with Williams Syndrome in the hospital and are interested in obtaining a hand-made pillowcase for hope, please send your child’s name and address to:

I am the parent of a child with Williams Syndrome and think this is a wonderful idea. Is this organization a 501(c)3 non-profit? I went to their website hoping to make a donation, but can’t find their IRS issued tax id number anywhere.

  4. We will e-mail them directly and ask they respond to you! Have a great day!!
