Two year old Amris Bedford, daughter of Marlee Walker Bedford and Ross Bedford, was diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive brain cancer known as AT/RT (Atypical Teratoid Rhaboid Tumor). Amris is currently at St. Jude Children’s Hospital undergoing treatment and has recently started her second round of chemotherapy.

Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor (AT/RT) is a rare and deadly tumor diagnosed in childhood. AT/RT most commonly presents as a brain tumor, but can occur elsewhere in the central nervous system including the spinal cord. There currently is no known cure for AT/RT.

A benefit for Amris is being held Saturday, September 15, 2012, from 2pm-12am.  Live music will be provided by Dave and Jared, Rhonda and the Relics, The Woodgrains, The Droppers, and The Last Waltz Ensemble.  Tickets are available at Better Hometown Blackshear.
