  1. Please join us! Everyone is welcome

Last year’s event at the Galaxy was incredible with over 600 people. We have scaled down a little this year but guarantee a good time. We are raising awareness and funding for Duchenne muscular dystrophy research. Our main goal is that you join us and have a great time.. There is a no-host bar and great Spanish themed food. There are quiet areas to chat with old and new friends.

We have some great raffle prizes, including a joy ride on a legend Cub plane! Returning as the main band this year are Kings Road featuring Terry Lawless who tours and records with U2 and John Ferarro who has kept rhythm for some of the biggest acts. Kings Road was formed in the 80’s at Newport Harbor High School. Last year their set was incredible and great for easy listening or dancing. Also joining us are our good friends The Lucky Lonely playing an acoustic set. Kicking off the night will be Orange County’s blues legend and our good friend Pat Hennessy.

This event started as a birthday celebration for my son Dusty who has Duchenne. Dusty turns 20 the week of Music Power. 2011 was a big year for him as he met President Obama and survived some challenging cardiac issues. This year he is healthier and will be at the event. Come along and say hi!

There will be an exclusive showing of the trailer for the new documentary Dusty’s Trail: Summit of Borneo which tells the inspirational story of people from all over the world traveling to Borneo to climb a mountain for the boys and young men with Duchenne.

We really hope you can join us November 15.

    Thank you.

    Cath
