Andrea Epstein is the Executive Director of Global Genes, a global non-profit organization focused on advocacy, education and support for patients, families, and caregivers that are impacted by one of the 7,000 rare diseases that exist worldwide. In this role, Andrea leads the organization’s innovative program development, income growth strategies and operations to enable Global Genes to achieve its mission of “eliminating the challenges of rare disease.”
Andrea has more than 25 years of experience in the health care non-profit and for-profit sectors, and has served in executive roles in several leading national non-profit organizations. Most recently, Andrea served as a Vice President for the California Division of the American Cancer Society, leading a five county region that generated more than $15 million annually in revenue. Andrea holds a B.A. in Human Biology from Brown University and a M.S. in Management from the Sloan School of Management, M.I.T.
