Ashley Yee

Manager, Advocacy Programs

Ashley recently joined Global Genes as part of the Patient Advocacy team. As the manager of advocacy programs, she provides education resources and tools to the rare disease community through the Global Genes toolkits and webinars.

Before joining Global Genes, Ashley worked as a behavior therapist in the autistic community providing not only individual therapy but parent counseling and group social services. In addition to her work as a therapist, Ashley interned with the City of Irvine as a case manager for senior services and outreach as well as AltaMed Health Services as a strategy analyst.

Ashley attended University of California, Irvine where she received her BA in Psychology and Social Behaviors with a minor in Anthropology and Sociology. She later attended University of Southern California to receive her Masters in Social Work with an emphasis in Industrial Social Work.

When she is not working, Ashley is found volunteering her time to her sorority, Gamma Phi Beta, at UCI as their chapter advisor. If she’s not volunteering her time, she can be found at Disneyland, exploring LA and OC as a foodie, or just at home with her two puppies.
