“A Victory for One is a Victory for Everyone” Taylor’s Tale Creates Moving Video for WRDD

March 18, 2014

Taylor’s Tale hosted a candlelight vigil on February 28 to commemorate Rare Disease Day 2014. The vigil took place at Freedom Park in Charlotte, North Carolina; it featured music, prayer and appearances by a public official and local rare disease heroes.

Rare Disease Day is an international event that raises awareness in support of people with a rare disease, the health care professionals and caregivers who support them, and the researchers who are seeking treatments for the more than 7,000 rare diseases that afflict more than one in 10 Americans and an estimated 350 million people around the globe.

Taylor’s Tale was founded in honor of Charlotte’s Taylor King, who has infantile Batten disease.
