Batten Awareness Weekend Virtual 5K on June 4th and 5th

May 3, 2016

We are very excited to announce the BDSRA Batten Awareness Weekend Virtual 5K!

Each year, during the first weekend in June, the Batten Disease Support and Research Association celebrates Batten Awareness Weekend to promote the need for research and support for families.

The race will take place during awareness weekend, June 4th and 5th. A virtual 5K is just like any other 5K, except there is no official race location. That also means no early wake up times and no traveling. You can choose when, where and how you complete the 5K. Once you are done, log back in and enter your time. The top finishers in individual and team categories and the top fundraisers will be acknowledged at the annual BDSRA family conference in July of this year, as well as in the newsletter and on our website. There are also options for those who want to join in the weekend event but don’t want to run a race.

Be sure to register by May 11th to get a t-shirt custom designed by BDSRA in time for the event. You can create teams, challenge other families to see who has the most participants or best times, and be sure to post pictures using ‪#‎battenawareness‬ so we can all keep up with the fun.
Please share this will your friends, family, and coworkers; let’s raise awareness around the world!
