Brooklyn Kelley Walk in Honor of World Rare Disease Day 2015

February 9, 2015

Looking to being awareness to Albany, Oregon during this World Rare Disease Day? Join the Brooklyn Kelley Walk!

In honor of daughter, Brooklyn Kelley, the family’s goal is to “spread awareness of Brooklyn’s disorder and others like her so that people aren’t “afraid” of these special people or think of them as “different” but accept them instead.”

This is their 2nd annual Rare Genes Walk in Albany at the Waverly Lake Park. The event will begin at 3pm on February 28th, 2015.

“Care about Rare” shirts and “Jeans for Genes” paracord keychains will be available for purchase.

Anyone and everyone is invited to the walk and encouraged to walk for someone who isn’t able to walk for themselves, walk for a minute, a mile, or all evening!

The walk circles a beautiful lake, with lots of scenery. Come see the star of the show, Brooklyn, who will be attending and using her new UPSEE (a device to help her walk along with her daddy).

Tell your friends, invite them to the event’s Facebook page.
