Michael’s Cause Has Cause for Celebration After Golf Fundraiser

May 8, 2017

The organization just had their 5th annual UFCW Local 1D/2D Golfing Tournament to raise funds for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy research.

In the past 5 years the event has raised $100,000 towards Michael’s Cause.

We would like to thank UFCW Local 1D/2D for supporting Michael’s Cause at the 5th annual Tee up for a Cure golf outing at the Ricmond County Country Club on Monday April 24th!! Vincent Fyfe, George Orlando, Frank Cognetta, Vincent and Sal and Vincent  D’Acunto thank you for supporting us each year!! A special thank you to Antonio Coppola for organizing and running this outing each year. Congratulations to this year’s honorees Don Leone and Isaac Marten. In the past 5 years $100,000 has been directed to Michaels Cause for research for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Your continued support will lead us to better treatments and a future cure for this disease in time to save Michael and the other boys affected by Duchenne.

The mission of Michael’s Cause is to raise awareness of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy as well as direct funding for research by building a strong foundation for future treatments and a possible cure.

Founded by Robert and Theresa Capolongo, MC says their goal is to save their son’s life and the many thousands of boys afflicted with this fatal disease.
