Harmony 4 Hope and Chicago’s very own, Sharing Notes Foundation, will be harmonizing for World Rare Disease Day on February 27 at La Rabida Children’s Hospital in Chicago.  This day of giving will include a LIVE music performance accompanied by the delivery of dozens of repurposed iPods for patient enjoyment.

Patxi’s Pizza Rare Disease Fundraiser| 2/25/15 | San Francisco, CA

Patxi’s Pizza, a local bay area restaurant is hosting an all day event to raise awareness for rare disease day! Patxi’s will donate 15% of the day’s proceeds to Global Genes. For Dine in and Take out orders during lunch and dinner, have a slice and learn about how rare diseases affects 1 in every 10 Americans.

North Texas Angels Pageant | 2/28/15 | More info| Texas

This craft fair is open to the public. To rent a booth is $45 and all registration proceeds go towards the North Texas Angels Pageant organization. This is a 501c3 non profit that hosts a free, non competitive pageant for individuals with special needs or rare, life threatening disease. This day is provided at no cost to the families.

We are hosting a special “raise your hand for Rare disease day” art gallery, where people are welcome to show case their hand inspired art to show how the community can come together and support all those fighting even if it is RARE

BioMarin Rare Disease Day Celebration | 2/26/15 | More info | San Rafeal, CA

This is an annual internal BioMarin celebration honoring the patients, physicians, caregivers and advocates involved with the rare diseases that the staff here works every day to develop therapies for. We have guest speakers from the rare disease community, both advocates and health care providers, along with patients who have had their lives improved by our therapies, so BioMarin staff gets to meet and celebrate with them. Meeting the patients and families is a great source of inspiration for everyone working at BioMarin. We also incorporate a Jeans for Genes fundraiser to benefit some of the advocacy groups we work with.

We have over 90 salons in MA and NH who will be wearing their denim on this day to support Rare Diseases. Our franchisee’s will also make a monetary donation in honor of my son who passed away from AHLE. I am excited to participate once again and love that the company I work for is so supportive. Supercuts is more than an amazing company, they care for each of their employees and we are such a family.

Karaoke Fundraiser | 2/25/15 | West Seattle

Hosting a fundraiser to not only raise funds but to raise awareness in my community. It will be a Karaoke event hosted by Karaoke Kellie at Out West Bar in West Seattle with raffles and lots of fun. The event will be from 8:30-12pm.
