Regional Legislative Conferences to Help Advocates Prepare for In-District Lobby Days

April 25, 2016

Rare Disease Legislative Advocates (RDLA) will host three regional Legislative Conferences in late June to teach advocates about the legislative process, legislation currently under consideration, and effective advocacy techniques to build relationships with Members of Congress and their staff. Each conference is crafted to educate those with little to no political experience and provide useful updates to those with a history of political action. The aim is to have advocates leave the regional Legislative Conferences with confidence in their ability to make a difference.  Please join us in a state near you this summer.

June 28 – Northeast Legislative Conference: University of Massachusetts in Boston, MA
June 30 – Midwest Legislative Conference: Prentice Women’s Hospital in Chicago, IL
June 30 – West Coast Legislative Conference: Seattle Children’s Hospital in Seattle, WA

Registration for the conferences opens on Monday, May 9th, and an educational webinar is scheduled for Thursday, June 16th. For information on sponsorship opportunities, please contact our Chief Development Officer, Carol Kennedy, at [email protected].
