Support in a Shoebox? Get Your Entries in Today!

October 16, 2016

The RareX Conference is taking place next week in Cape Town, South Africa. Rare Diseases of South Africa knows that many organizations won’t be able to make it to the event—but they don’t want that them to stop them from contributing their strength and spirit!

They are inviting organizations to participate remotely via submitting a shoebox filled with all the items that describe their group, the condition/s they support, and their organization or country to them via courier. They will then display this box throughout the conference as part of their support group exhibitions.

What can go in the box?
You can send anything as long as it fits into one box (and is not illegal.)

An example of a Support Group Shoebox for Myasthenia Gravis:
– A snowflake
– a spoon
– a rag doll
– a teal ribbon
– an overview of MG
– box was covered in snowflake paper.
– Contact details of local organization.

They would like for you to submit your box to the following address via COURIER– they recommend DHL Express.
Please note: All boxes need to reach them by Tuesday 18th October.
Boxes will not be returned. Pamphlets/Flyers/ Business Cards can be sent additionally to accompany your box for delegates to take with them. Alternatively, it can be sent to Postnet Stellenbosch via Postnet to Postnet service (For South Africa only – please send sms notifications to 072 476 7552)
