Rare & Resilient Resources Webinar Series: A New Perspective on Coping with Pruritus in PFIC

Register nowOur Rare Disease Month theme of February 2023 is a pertinent issue facing rare disease patients and families: Mental Wellbeing.
We are hosting a special five-part webinar series starting on February 16 and running through March 9, titled “A New Perspective on Coping with Pruritus in PFIC.” The host is Caitlin Shneider, a Clinical Psychology Doctoral student at Georgia State University. Caitlin examined the influence of child pain catastrophizing and parent response to pain on psychosocial and functional outcomes for youth, giving her a unique perspective on dealing with Pruritus.
During these webinars, our parent/patient community will learn:
- The role of stress in pruritus
- Tips for managing stress
- Interventions for chronic itch
- Tips on how to find a therapist
