18 Hydroxylase Deficiency is a metabolic defect in which a deficiency in the enzyme 18-Hydroxylase results in salt wasting (through sweating) and a reduced amount of aldosterone (a steroid hormone). Symptoms may include: dehydration, vomiting, fever, and stunted growth.
