Angiosarcoma of the Liver
Type of disease: Rare conditions
A form of liver cancer occurring in the lining of blood vessels by the liver. It tends to be aggressive and spreads widely throughout the body. It can be diagnosed using a CT scan, ultrasonography, or MRI. It is more common in adults than children. Symptoms include an enlarged liver, abdominal pain, weight loss, jaundice, and vomiting. The earlier it is detected, the better the prognosis. Surgery is the main method of treatment, but radiation and chemotherapy can also be used in addition to surgery.
