Anophthalmia Esophageal Atresia Cryptorchidism

Overview

Type of disease: Rare conditions

Anophthalmia Esophageal Atresia Cryptorchidism is a rare combination of birth defects, or a syndrome. This syndrome is characterized by the absence of one or both eyes, a narrowed esophagus (the tube that carries food from the mouth to the stomach), and the absence of one or both testicles in males. Treatment varies on a case-by-case basis, and depends on the patient’s specific birth defects.
