Cilliers Beighton Syndrome

Cilliers Beighton syndrome, also known as Beukes type hip dysplasia, is an inherited disease that results in premature deterioration of the hip joints. The most noticeable symptom of this syndrome is hip joint pain and discomfort. There is a racial predominance of this condition in Afrikaner families and usually develops during childhood in children less than 2 years old but also may develop later.
