Leiomyosarcoma Survivor Appreciates ‘Bracelet of Hope’

October 10, 2012

A donated ‘Bracelet for Hope’ reached Karen Kozlowski days before receiving her scheduled scan in her fight against Gastric Leiomyosarcoma and Hodgkin Lymphoma.

I received the most beautiful blue, silver and green bracelet made by “The Beading Yogini” in the mail just days before my scheduled three month scan. It is hard to live on the unknown roller coaster of ‘what if this time they find another metastasis?’. My bracelet just makes me smile and feel not so alone. Thank you to the artist who took the time to create such a masterpiece and to the Global Genes people for caring and giving me hope. Here I am next to my “Care for Rare” sticker on my car. I imagine it will encourage questions amongst the community, and I look forward to sharing the story of this amazing group.

Thank you.  In peace and strength to handle what comes our way, Karen

We, at Global Genes are so delighted that her Hope bracelet put a smile on her face during this difficult time. We also took the opportunity to send Karen a ‘Care about RARE’ car sticker along with her bracelet. We are thrilled she has displayed it!

Our sincere thanks and gratitude to designer Cecilia Cormier of The Beading Yogini for donating this beautiful bracelet and giving hope to Karen in her fight against Leiomyosarcoma and Lymphoma.  To see more of Cecilia’s designs, visit The Beading Yogini.
