Ann Marie Bingo, Manager, Global Patient Advocacy, Horizon Pharma 

Ann Marie has been working in the Biotech industry for over 18 years, with 12 of those years dedicated to serving the patient community. She first became interested in pursuing a career in patient advocacy when her mother underwent a liver transplant and her father was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma within the same year. Those experiences led her to appreciate the importance of advocating for your loved ones and understanding how to navigate the complex healthcare system. As a manager of patient advocacy at Horizon Pharma, she works closely with patient organizations identifying opportunities to address patient’s unmet needs, patient education and disease state awareness.

Ann Marie lives in Oakland, CA and has a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from California State University, Fullerton.

 

Anne Bruns, Associate Executive Director and Operation Manager, The Atypical HUS Foundation

Anne Bruns is the mother of a son diagnosed with Atypical Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Weber State University. She is the Associative Executive Director and Operations Manager for The Atypical HUS Foundation. She is responsible for managing day to day operations, finding research opportunities, creating and sustaining partnerships, oversees the patient registry, fundraising and special events and managing pharma and industry relationships. She helps in the coordination of family conferences across the nation to bring patients and experts together.
