Infant botulism

Synonyms: Infant intestinal botulism | Infant intestinal toxemia botulism | Infant intestinal toxin-mediated botulism | Infantile botulism

A rare form of botulism a rare acquired neuromuscular junction disease with descending flaccid paralysis caused by botulinum neurotoxins (BoNTs). It is due to intestinal colonization by Clostridium botulinum leading to toxin-mediated infection with toxemia.

Create a patient registry to establish very precise statistics of rare diseases in Côte d'Ivoire. Create a close-knit patient community. Break the isolation and despair of sick people and their families. Open up to the world and actively contribute to international research aimed at treatments.
