Dusty’s Trail: Summit of Borneo to Premiere at Newport Beach Film Festival on April 26th

Dusty’s Trail: A new film focused on the struggles with those living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy follows 20-year-old Dusty, family and friends on a journey half way across the world. From California, advocates travel to Borneo to raise awareness for Duchenne by climbing a mountain. The film explores how the fatal and debilitating muscle wasting condition affects boys worldwide.

“It’s about the power of creating a positive, happy, fulfilling and inspiring life when the odds seem against it. Filmed in Borneo and California, the documentary is based on interviews with doctors, researchers, parents, friends and people who have been inspired by Dusty’s life, some with whom he has never met, and others who share the same path,” states the film’s synopsis.

The film will premiere at the esteemed Newport Beach Film Festival on April 26th, 2013. Tickets are still available for purchase here.
