EveryLife Foundation Accepting Entries for 8th Annual Rare Artist Contest

August 12, 2016

The EveryLife Foundation for Rare Diseases is pleased to announce the 8th annual Rare Artist contest, which celebrates the unique talents of the rare disease community. Anyone in the rare disease community – including patients, caregivers, family, researchers and medical professionals – is encouraged to participate. This year’s contest will accept entries through December 5th.

The awards for each category are as follows:
Children (4-11): $100 gift card
Teens (12-17): $250 gift card
Adults (18+): $500 gift card
Adults (18+): Photography/Digital Art: $500 gift card

We accept photos of art in the following forms:

 Rare Artist for GG

To enter, visit the Rare Artist Facebook page and submit your work in the appropriate category. Voting will be open through December 12th and people can vote once every ten days, so it is beneficial to submit your entry early in the process and share it with your friends and family.  Contest winners will be announced in early January.

Winning pieces and those selected for special artistic merit awards will be displayed at our Rare Artist reception to be held on March 1st, 2017 in Washington, DC in conjunction with Rare Disease Week on Capitol Hill.  Artists with works chosen for this reception will be eligible for travel stipends to provide the opportunity to see their work displayed on Capitol Hill.

For additional information including the governing rules, please visit the contest rules page.
We are excited to see the entries from the rare disease community this year. If you have questions or concerns about the contest, please email the contest curator, Grant Kerber, at [email protected].
