Kentucky Girl with Rare Disease Makes Adorable Appearance on Rachael Ray

May 10, 2016

One Kentucky girl got the experience of a lifetime on Wednesday when she made a special appearance on celebrity chef Rachael Ray‘s show, Rachael.

Audrey Nethery, who lives in Louisville and suffers from the rare disease Diamond Blackfan Anemia, had the chance to dance with a few of the Brooklynettes dancers, and perform their practiced routine on the show. In an adorable clip, Audrey holds her own as she dances in the middle of the four women.

While her Rachael appearance garnered a lot of attention, Audrey has gone viral in the past for her dance moves in Zumba, which her parents frequently post on their Facebook page dedicated to raising awareness of DBA.

Currently, there’s no cure for the disease – an inherited bone marrow failure syndrome – but the family has set up a GoFundMe account and hope to raise $50,000 to help find a cure. All proceeds from the crowd funding site go directly to the DBA foundation.

Following Audrey’s appearance on Ray’s show, the family took to their Facebook, sharing a video of her performance, adding, “What you don’t see is Rachael’s generous donation to our DBA fundraiser – $10,000!!!”
