“I have abetalipoproteinemia, a rare disorder that only 100 people in the world suffer from,” says Lori Izzard. “I am one of the oldest and rarest because when my mom was three months into her pregnancy, I was conceived. The symptoms are mobility problems, possible blindness, lack of protein in the blood and weak neurological muscles.”
Lori wrote and self published her life story in a paper back book called “Living with Abetalipoproteinemia,” which is now available at www.createspace.com (key in “Living with abetalipoproteinemia”).
