Can You Tell Your Rare Disease Story in Six Words? Enter and Win.

March 24, 2014

“For sale: baby shoes, never worn.”

It was a six word story that Ernest Hemingway wrote that changed the idea that a great story couldn’t be a brief one. We find that there are many great six word stories out there—and we want to hear yours.

As we gear up for our Annual Champions of Hope Gala, we hope to incorporate some of your creativity into the event. Can you give hope and explain life with rare disease in just six words?

To help get your creative juices flowing, our team took the challenge and came up with the following six word stories:

“Be the change that sparks Change”-Nicole Boice

“Turn someone’s fear into a cure” – Ashley Girtman

“Keep fighting. We still need answers.”– Kathy O’Connor

“Empowering community. Encouraging change. Ensuring hope.” – Andrea Epstien

“Found Community. Found Answers. Found hope.” -Ilana Jacqueline

Now it’s your turn!  Think about it. Meditate on it. Then spit it out in six words—no more and no less!

Our winners may see their stories incorporated in some of the art featured at the gala. Three of our top winners will receive Global Genes prize packs. All entries must be in by April 15th.
