Organization for Rare Diseases India Celebrates World Rare Disease Day with Race for 7 Marathon

February 4, 2016

To address the challenges of rare disease patients and their families, Organization for Rare Diseases India (ORDI) was founded in 2014 with a team of compassionate people who want to challenge the current scenario by helping patients with rare disorders. ORDI aims to empower rare disease patients and their families in India with access to national and international resources to improve their quality of life.

On February 28th 2016 which is World Rare Diseases Day, ORDI is conducting a running event in Bengaluru to raise awareness. In this event, 7000 people will be running for 7000 meters (7 kilometres) to symbolize the 7000 identified rare diseases. Apart from spreading awareness, the event will also be a platform for raising funds to enhance our reach for helping patients with rare disorders. We would like to invite you to participate in the event and be part of our journey to create a better and inclusive world for people with rare disorders.
