Real Madrid Star James Rodriguez Visits Progeria Patient at Home

July 26, 2016

Manchester United transfer target James Rodriguez made a teenage girl’s dream come true by taking a trip to visit her at home.

The Real Madrid ace was visiting Cali city – in the western part of home country Colombia – for an Adidas sportswear promotion.

But he dropped in to visit little Magaly Gonzalez Sierra beforehand.

Magaly has Hutchinson-Gilford progeria syndrome – a rare disease that sees sufferers age at an astonishing and life-threatening rate.

Amazingly the 15-year-old – whose appearance looks closer to a grandparent’s than that of a teen – has already lived 13 years past her life expectancy.

One of Rodriguez’s teammates has a sister who works in the hospital where Magaly receives treatment – and she tipped him off about Magaly’s dream to meet the footballer.

So Rodriguez dropped by for a surprise chat – and the young Colombian was just thrilled.

In heartwarming footage, Rodriguez and Magaly can be seen all smiles having a nice chat and cuddle on a sofa in her family home.

The midfielder even offers up his cheek for a peck from the delighted teen.

Later she wrote a message to her thousands of followers saying: “I want to thank you for your comments. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

“I love you all.”

Once he’d finished his good deed Rodriguez went on to make his appearance at a nearby Adidas store to sign autographs for fans with fellow players.

The 25-year-old is captain of the Colombian national team and won the Golden Boot as top goalscorer in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
