SMA Family Weekend Gathering and Worldwide Candle Lighting Day August 8-10, 2014

August is National Spinal Muscular Atrophy Awareness month. Miracle For Madison & Friends along with the OKI Chapter of FSMA is hosting an SMA Family weekend gathering August 7-10, 2014 in Dublin, Ohio. All SMA families & friends are invited to attend to meet up and have some fun. Friday August 8th we will visit the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium.

Saturday August 8th there will be free time to explore the City of Columbus, take a shopping trip to Easton Mall or stay at the Drury Inn Hotel for pool time. On Saturday evening at 7PM we will come together at the Miracle League Field in Dublin, Ohio for our annual candle lighting and balloon release. We are honored to have SMA researchers Dr. Brian Kaspar and Dr. Arthur Burghes attending to give a research update and be available for questions.

Please join us with families and SMA organizations around the country by lighting a candle at dusk on Saturday August 9th to remember those who have lost their battle with Spinal Muscular Atrophy and to honor the ones here who are still fighting this horrible disease everyday.
