The RARE Patient Impact Grant is Now Open for Applications!

Our mission is to eliminate the challenges of rare disease and these grants will provide much needed funding and support to foundations and support groups serving the rare disease community. Rare disease foundations and support groups seeking to fund projects that will make tangible difference in the lives of rare patients and caregivers are encouraged to apply. Applications will be accepted from October 15, 2015 – November 30, 2015 and awards will be announced on January 30, 2016. Apply now.

Foundations must be a Global Genes’ Foundation Alliance partner in order to participate in the grant program. You can join the Foundation Alliance here.
Note: support groups are not required to be a member of the alliance to be eligible to apply.  The funding amounts range from $500 to $15,000. Expected outcomes and reporting requirements vary depending on the level of funding and are outlined in the Guidance Document online, here. For funding requests over $5,000, applicants will be required to give a 15 minute presentation to the review committee in order to be considered.Global Genes will host a webinar on November 2, 2015 at 11 am PST/2 pm EST to provide an overview of the grant requirements and to answer any applicant questions that were submitted.
