Inaugural conference to connect patients, caregivers, scientists, providers and industry so as to create a unified vision of the challenges faced by the 16p11.2 deletion syndrome community and how best to address them. Our goal is for families to feel that sense of community from each other as well as getting a sense of the support that exists in the world of science, medicine and industry. We chose to locate the conference within walking distance of Disneyland and California Adventure Parks in the city of Anaheim to allow families a discounted holiday in addition to attending this valuable conference. We will be hosting illustrious speakers from SFARI, Harvard, UCSF and UCLA to present the breaking news results of the first medication for 16p11.2 deletion that has gone to clinical trials as well as the world experts who will present the most up to date research and understanding of 16p11.2 deletion syndrome. We will also have community building activities to address daily life challenges from sibling considerations to transitioning into being an adult to navigating the insurance and educational systems for those with this rare disease. It will take place on October 2-4, 2025. All are welcome to attend.
