The Choroideremia Research Foundation (CRF) cordially invites you to join us June 25 – 28, 2025, for our International Conference at the Radisson Blu Mall of America in Bloomington, MN. This conference seeks to improve the quality of life for all those impacted by choroideremia (CHM) through educational programming, interactive engagement and networking.
Choroideremia (CHM) is a rare inherited form of vision loss affecting approximately 1 in 50,000 people. Due to its x-linked inheritance pattern males are most severely affected with females usually experiencing milder visual impairment. Symptoms begin in early childhood initially with dark adaptation difficulties, followed by challenges with glare and tunnel vision, eventually progressing to blindness. There are currently no approved treatments for choroideremia.
CRF was founded 25 years ago and is the largest nonprofit organization in the world
exclusively dedicated to CHM research, patient education, and advocacy. Since its inception, the CRF has provided over $5 million in research towards better
understanding of the root causes of the disease and accelerating potential
therapeutic treatments.
Approximately 200-250 attendees are expected to attend the International Conference, including:
CHM patients and family members
Technology and assistive device experts
Pharmaceutical industry representatives
Clinicians
Researchers
Rehabilitation Professionals
And more!
We hope you will join us for an unforgettable CHM family experience!
