An opportunity for patient advocacy leaders to improve the health and mental well-being of the rare disease community–including children, siblings, caregivers/care partners and those who are grieving.

Over the past decade, Global Genes’ RARE Impact Grant Program has provided grants to rare disease patient advocacy organizations that are part of the Global Advocacy Alliance to make specific, tangible differences for the communities they serve. In 2023, these funds:
- Stewarded initiatives to develop educational tools and resources to improve health equity in underserved and underrepresented populations
- Supported in-person meetings and community building opportunities to foster collaboration, social support, education, and awareness
- Improved the health and mental well-being of the rare disease community, including children, siblings, caregivers/care partners and those who are grieving.
