Overcoming My Struggles And Becoming Resilient With My Rare Diseases

Hello,

My name is saida mahoney I am 25 years and I am from Oakland California I am diagnosed with 2 chronic rare diseases I am diagnosed with a rare genetic disease called Partial Trisomy 8q Duplication Syndrome I was born with the disease it affects my brain function it also caused me to have difficulties with my walking and talking and so much more.

My genetic disease causes me to have multiple disabilities.

I am also diagnosed with another rare chronic disease called Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) it causes me to have painful flare ups I have been too the hospital numerous times due to my HS and it all the pain it causes

I receive IKL injections for my HS to help treat it and so much more etc

I may have my struggles from my rare diseases but I will continue to fight hard through all of the struggles and difficulties

I am resilient I will never give up

I won’t back down!!!!
