Nicole Boice on Global Genes’ 16th Birthday

August 6, 2024

August 15th, 2024 marks Global Genes’ 16th birthday! Since 2008, our organization has made significant efforts and successes within the rare disease community. To celebrate, we’ve asked those who have worked alongside Global Genes to talk about memories, experiences, and the impact that Global Genes has had on their lives. Nicole Boice, Founder and Chief Mission Officer, sat down to reflect on what Global Genes is to her in a series of short videos.

One of Nicole’s first defining memories of a Global Genes experience was in 2010 during Rare Disease Day in Washington, D.C. Watch what she had to say about the accomplishment:

She remembers Global Genes’ first $10,000 check, and what was said with its presentation:

We wouldn’t be where we are today without the support and funding from partners, organizations, and even friends throughout the rare disease space and pharma industry. Therefore, it was important for us to have toolkits to help with the spread of information:

…and the work has just begun! Thanks for celebrating with us!
