Raising Hope International Friends Presents 2nd Annual Sickle Cell Convention

Raising Hope International Friends in collaboration with Kampala University is thrilled to present the second Sickle Cell Convention, centered around the empowering theme of “Breaking Barriers, Building Hope.”. The theme is aimed at examining the efforts to overcome challenges, propose realistic solutions that include improving access to healthcare and medications, increase awareness and understanding of SCD in communities, advocating for positive policy, and promoting research and innovation in the field of sickle cell disease. Addressing these challenges will involve providing support and resources for managing the physical and emotional aspects of the disease, promote inclusion and acceptance, and create opportunities for individuals with SCD to thrive and lead fulfilling lives.
