Bracelet Recipient, Lisa Auerbach Shares Hope While Battling Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS)

November 15, 2012

Lisa Auerbach cherishes the Hope bracelet she recently received.  Lisa is battling Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome(EDS), a connective tissue disorder which affects every system in the body.   Lisa’s symptoms include dislocating joints, Postural Orthestatic Tachycardia (POTS), severe headaches and pain.  She will most likely need significant neck surgery in the near future to correct the instability.  Despite Lisa’s battle with EDS, she is making bracelets to show her support for people affected by rare disease and encouraging others to do the same.

I decided that it would be nice to be involved in this wonderful project and make some bracelets to submit. I told one of my co-workers about “7000 Bracelets” and she happily made three. Hopefully, more of my talented friends will submit additional bracelets too.

It is about sharing hope, and as a recipient, I am proud to spread more hope to all of us with rare disorders and I appreciate the opportunity to do so.  Thanks!   – Lisa Auerbach
