Patient Advocacy Summit 2014: E-Patient Revolution

August 22, 2014

This session is presented by Health 2.0 and Smart Patients.

One session. Three segments. Everything you need to know about the E-Patient Revolution and how you can help pull patients in need out of isolation and into the open network of health information.

Together, we have the opportunity to share knowledge in the effort to get the best treatment possible.  Patient networks, especially for the rare disease community, the processes of diagnosis, treatment, and even basic research are being improved directly by patients

Want to learn even more? This segment’s “Deep Dive” sessions will include:

  • “The Power of Putting Information into the Hands of Patients” by Caresync’s Courtney Larned.
  • “Patient Driven Research: Putting Patients at the Center of Clinical Trials from Start to Finish” by Smart Patient’s Gilles Frydman.
  • “Tools and Strategies to Fast-track Patient Engagement” by The Empowered Patient Coalition’s Julia Hallisy.
  • “Benefits of Using Online Community Building Tools for Effective Advocacy and Support” by Ben’s Friends John Stamler.
  • “Move Beyond Anecdotes: a Blueprint for Patient-Driven Research by Althea Health’s Manu Kodiyan and CysticLife’s Ronnie Sharpe.
