June 7, 2013

Genetic Disease Foundation will be the featured charity at the New York Mets game atCiti Field on July 19th.  A portion of tickets sold at will be donated to the foundation by the New York Mets.  GDF will receive the Spirit Award on-field prior to the game and other promotional exposure.  We invite all friends of GDF, especially the rare disease community, to join us for a fun night out to support the foundation.

The NY Mets established the Spirit Award in 1994 to recognize the hard work of organizations working to improve the lives of others.  The award is presented on the field prior to the game at which the organization is featured.  The evening is designated Genetic Disease Awareness Night.  Money raised will go to the GDF ,which was founded in 1997 by patients and families affected by genetic diseases and disorders.  The organization’s mission is to support research and education that will help prevent and treat genetic diseases.

Their goal is to have as many people as we can to come out and help raise money for GDF while enjoying the game!
