Practice to Policy® Health Grants Program Now Accepting Applications
May 8, 2017
A new grant has become available for projects within the primary biliary cholangitis community. Practice to Policy encourages the development of innovative solutions that support high standards of PBC patient care.
The application window will close June 30th, and successful applicants will be notified in August 2017.
The program will provide financial support up to $20,000 for local and national projects that activate and empower PBC patients and the community. This includes:
- Helping people with PBC understand and proactively engage in the management of their condition (an example of this could include creating tools to support the patient/physician dialogue)
- Activating healthcare professionals to address PBC with more urgency within their own practices or communities (an example of this could include educating non-hepatology providers on PBC)
- Implementing strategies that support people with PBC in adhering to their treatment regimens (an example of this could include using digital technologies to manage patient care)
Initiatives can be aimed either directly to people with PBC or healthcare professionals
