Artist and Teacher, Rachel Baron, Along with the Help From her Students Make a Difference for Those Affected by Rare Disease

February 11, 2013

Rachel Baron, a jewelry artist and teacher from Lancaster High School, NY engaged her students in a community service project creating bracelets to support families affected by rare disease. Together, Rachel and her students donated over 50 bracelets to the 7000 Bracelets for Hope program.

The credit really goes to the handful of students who wanted to do something creative to help others!  -Rachel

Aside from her role as a teacher, Rachel has been making her own jewelry for 10 years and lampwork beads for eight years. Her artistic work can be found online at R.Baron Designs on Etsy.

I take great care to only sell my very best creations, both in a technical and aesthetic sense. I take the handmade pledge very seriously: I try to buy my supplies from fellow artisans whenever possible, to create for you a truly one-of-a-kind piece. -Rachel

A big, heartfelt “thank you” to Rachel and all of her students for their helpful hands and for making a difference in the lives of those affected by rare disease.
